Best Wishes for the New Year

“For as he thinketh in his
heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7

Another year has ended and a new one beginning. It’s the time of the year for reflection, looking backward and then looking forward.

If you pause long enough, you may recognize an awesome responsibility at what to do with the new year. After all, there are only so many of them for each and everyone of us.

Now I realize that for some it will be business as usual. For some, nothing ever seems to change. Now that may be alright for those who are pleased and happy at where they are in life.

Repeating a process is good if you‘re satisfied. But if improvement and striving to be more than you are is in order, then changes and adjustments may be called for.

I suppose it all starts between the ears. If you’d like for things to change, then begin with a change of attitude.

No. 1. Don’t ever see the glass half empty again. Ever. At the very least, the glass is half full.

No. 2. Visualize. See it first in your imagination and it will happen.

No. 3. How about gratitude? What a great place to start from. The more one whines, complains, and grumbles, the more of the same is attracted. And, also, what a waste of energy.

When I’m worried and I can’t sleep,
I count my blessings instead of sheep.
And I fall asleep, counting my blessings.

As the new year begins, let each of us resolve to endeavor to be the best that we can be…to be more than we are.

Look for the best this year.

Expect the best.
