Monroeville Is Visitor Friendly

The American Coaster Enthusiasts haven’t held conventions in Monroeville just because Kennywood Park and its beloved roller coasters are practically in the city’s backyard.

The group also takes advantage of the high value offered by Monroeville hotels, meeting spaces, and restaurants–and the expert meeting planning assistance of the Convention Visitors Bureau of Greater Monroeville (CVBGM). Indeed, the CVBGM reaches out to hundreds of thousands of people every year, promoting Greater Monroeville as a wonderful destination with great shopping, parks, and community events.

But visitors who enjoy the richness of Monroeville aren’t the only ones who benefit from the work of CVBGM. The lives of Monroeville residents also are enriched by the bureau’s efforts.

“We consider ourselves ambassadors,” says Sandy Rice, CVBGM Executive Director. “As the first contact potential visitors often make, we provide a wealth of good information about the richness of Monroeville’s offerings. We’re proud that Monroeville visitors have a terrific time, and that their business supports the continued prosperity and strong commercial tax base municipal residents enjoy.”

Helping with the Jain Convention was one of the bureau’s most challenging and most rewarding efforts.

“We had to quickly understand and work with a different culture from our own,” said Sandy. “We were pleased to be able to make this group feel glad it had chosen to meet in Monroeville.”

In addition to providing traditional meeting planning services, the bureau has two buses for transporting conventioneers to and from Monroeville’s meeting spaces, hotels, and shopping.

Outstanding meeting facilities and services...Great hometown attractions... Easy access to Pittsburgh...Free planning support from the Convention Visitors Bureau of Greater Monroeville...This is just some of what you get from the bureau.
