PNC Park, which opened in 2001, will host the 2006 All-Star Game. The Pirates franchise—which will be hosting its record-tying fifth Midsummer Classic—also hosted the 1944 and 1959 All-Star Games at ForbesField and the 1974 and 1994 Games at Three Rivers Stadium. No other Major League franchise has hosted the All-Star Game in three different ballparks.
